Seguridad : Vertical spanning the entire height of the bill repeating the words “ONE THOUSAND” (“MIL”).

System of Impression: Offset, Taille Douce and typography.

Face: Principal image of Infantry Captain Ignacio Carrera Pinto in the uniform of the Chilean Army used during the War of the Pacific.

Reverse: At the center, surrounded by trees is the monument to the Heros of Concepción, work of the sculptor Rebeca Matte, that is found on the Libertador Bernardo O”Higgins Avenue in Santiago.
