Face: The profile of Bernardo O’Higgins graces the center of the coin. Around the top the phrase “REPUBLIC OF CHILE” (“REPÚBLICA DE CHILE”). To the right of the profile, in small letters on two lines, the words “LIBERATOR B. O’HIGGINS” (“LIBERTADOR B. O’HIGGINS”). On the left side sits the mint mark.

Reverse: The number “10” sits in the upper center of the field, below it, on two lines, the word “PESOS” and the year of minting. All this is surrounded by the laurel branches.
