What is the proper mailing address format in Chile?

If you want to mail a letter or package to Chile, make sure you use the right address format to help delivery.
Per the Address Doctor, you should address your letter or package like so:
Line 1: RECIPIENT
Line 2: [STREET_TYPE] STREET_NAME HOUSE_NUMBER [, [FLOOR] [APARTMENT]]
Line 3: POSTAL_CODE LOCALITY
Line 4: CHILE
For example:
José Tapia
Pasaje Anakena 3422
7510115 PROVIDENCIA
CHILE
You can search for the appropriate postal code on the Correos de Chile website (in Spanish)
Outside Santiago, using the postal code is rare. Instead, for addresses outside the capital city, include the region number like so:
José Tapia
Pasaje Anakena 3422
San Antonio, V Región
CHILE
